Some words are more than one part of speech. For example, <strong>cook<\/strong> is both a verb and a noun.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Noun: The <strong>cook<\/strong> is busy in the kitchen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Verb: I don&#8217;t want to <strong>cook<\/strong>, let&#8217;s go to a restaurant instead.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Verb<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">A verb is a word that describes an action, state or occurrence. He are some basic forms of&nbsp; the verb walk.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">She walks to work. \u2013 present simple tense (3rd person singular)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">She walked to work. \u2013 past simple tense&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">She is walking to walk. \u2013 present continuous \/gerund (-ing)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">She has walked to work. \u2013 present perfect&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">She had worked to work. \u2013 past perfect&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Noun<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Nouns are words that are used to identify things, people and places.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>He is a <\/em><strong><em>teacher<\/em><\/strong><em>.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>She lives in <\/em><strong><em>London<\/em><\/strong><em>.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>Did you see that <\/em><strong><em>boat<\/em><\/strong><em>?<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong><em>Love<\/em><\/strong><em> is all you need.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Pronoun<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Pronouns are used to replace nouns.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>Tom&#8217;s mother gave him some money. He took it to the shop and bought some sweets.<\/em>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">In this sentence, Tom is the noun. <strong>He<\/strong> is the pronoun which replaces Tom.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>Don&#8217;t tell <\/em><strong><em>me<\/em><\/strong><em> what to do.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>Where are <\/em><strong><em>you<\/em><\/strong><em> going?<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong><em>She<\/em><\/strong><em> is tall.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong><em>It<\/em><\/strong><em> is in my car.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>Is this <\/em><strong><em>yours<\/em><\/strong><em>?<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong><em>This<\/em><\/strong><em> is confusing!<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong><em>Who<\/em><\/strong><em> wrote this?<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>Invite <\/em><strong><em>whomever<\/em><\/strong><em> you want.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>I will try and remind <\/em><strong><em>myself<\/em><\/strong><em>.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Adjective<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">A word that describes or gives us more information about a noun.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The <strong>green<\/strong> book.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">She&#8217;s <strong>young<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">It&#8217;s <strong>colder<\/strong> than I remember. \u2013 Comparative form&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">He&#8217;s the <strong>richest <\/strong>man in the world \u2013 Superlative form&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>The Adverb<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">A word or phrase that modifies the meaning of an adjective, verb, or other adverb.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>She <\/em><strong><em>quickly<\/em><\/strong><em> changed her clothes.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>I <\/em><strong><em>really<\/em><\/strong><em> don\u2019t understand.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>She called me <\/em><strong><em>yesterday<\/em><\/strong><em>.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>We <\/em><strong><em>sometimes<\/em><\/strong><em> go fishing.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Preposition<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Prepositions show us the relationship between a noun and another word in a sentence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>We lived <\/em><strong><em>in<\/em><\/strong><em> France.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>Your keys are <\/em><strong><em>on<\/em><\/strong><em> the table.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>We walked <\/em><strong><em>through<\/em><\/strong><em> the park.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>The Conjunction<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Conjunctions are used to join parts of sentences\/ clauses together.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>I had a shower <\/em><strong><em>and<\/em><\/strong><em> a shave.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>Let me know <\/em><strong><em>when<\/em><\/strong><em> you are ready to leave.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>We went to the beach <\/em><strong><em>because<\/em><\/strong><em> she loves swimming.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong><em>Although<\/em><\/strong><em> we were tired, we stayed up late.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><em>I don&#8217;t have much time, <\/em><strong><em>but<\/em><\/strong><em> I will help you anyway.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Interjection<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">We use interjections to show strong emotions and feelings that occur suddenly.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Hey!<\/strong> You are standing on my foot!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Ah<\/strong>, now I understand.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Eh<\/strong>?
