In the news: Metallica

The organisers of Glastonbury festival have ended months of _1_ over who will headline the Pyramid Stage on Saturday, by announcing that Metallica are to fill the spot. _2_ began circulating the other week when Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis said the final headliners were "one of the biggest-selling bands in the world".

Metallica is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California. The band, formed in 1981, have sold over 100 million albums and played for millions in concert all over the world.

The _3_ rockers are the first metal band to headline the festival, after Michael Eavis had stated in previous years that he didn't think heavy metal artists were _4_ to play at Glastonbury.

Glastonbury is the largest music and performing arts festival in the world. The festival is set in over 900 acres in the Vale of Avalon, (England) an area _5_ in symbolism, mythology and religious traditions dating back centuries. Around 180,000 people _6_ every year.
