Surf Sessions
First Session (1.5 hours)
Learn to surf in San Diego with our comprehensive course. In your first session, we will teach you the basics of surfing, including water safety and ocean terminology. Through interactive discussions and hands-on practice, you will master the fundamentals of surfing, such as pop-ups, stance, timing, wave positioning, core stabilisation, communication, and surfing etiquette. Our focus will be on perfecting your pop-ups, stance on the board, positioning, and core stabilisation, ensuring you are well-prepared to ride the waves confidently.
Second Session (1.5 hours)
In the second session, we will delve deeper into surfing fundamentals. We will review the terminology and concepts from the first session and introduce new terms related to currents, wave types, and wave reading. Through interactive discussions, you will thoroughly understand surfboard anatomy, surf breaks, and surfboard types. On the water, we will focus on practising basic turns and conclude with a written assessment to evaluate your progress.
Third Session (1.5 hours)
In the third session, we will build upon your knowledge of surfing. We will review key concepts from previous sessions, including terminology, surfboard anatomy, and surf break types. You will explore the physics behind surf tricks and manoeuvres through interactive discussions, focusing on speed, acceleration, barrels, and turns. On the water, we will emphasise progressing your surfing manoeuvres and turns, providing personalised coaching to help you catch waves independently. We will conclude the session with a written assessment of your overall learning.
Fourth Session (1.5 hours)
In the final session, we will conclude the program with a comprehensive review of surfing principles. Through interactive discussions, we will recap the key concepts and techniques you have learned throughout the course. To apply your knowledge in a real-world setting, we will organise a team surf contest where you can collaborate with your fellow surfers, communicate effectively, and display your skills in a fun and competitive environment.
