At EC Montreal we have a wide range of French language courses to help you on your learning journey. We offer conversation courses and specialized courses. We have daytime courses from Monday to Friday (no weekend courses).
We have French courses for all levels: from beginner levels, to Intermediate level and Advanced level. You will take a placement test before your course starts so we can check your French level and put you in the right class for your ability.
General French is our most popular French course and it’s our most flexible program. You can choose 20, 24, 26 or 30 classes per week.
Choose General French 24, 26 or 30 and study 20 core classes per week plus additional 4, 6 or 10 elective classes per week depending on which course you take. General French 30 is our most intensive learning program, so this is a good options to reach language proficiency quickly: the more classes per week you take, the quicker you improve!
20 lessons = 15 hours per week
24 lessons = 18 hours per week
26 lessons = 19.5 hours per week
30 lessons = 22.5 hours per week
We have advanced level courses in General French and Beginner level courses too; whatever your level we a dynamic program designed to benefit you.

In school you will improve your language skills on our excellent French courses and through daily conversations with classmates from all over the world. We offer French Plus specialized courses where you can combines your French course with One-to-One private lessons, Gastronomy (cooking lessons) or Bartending (learn to mix drinks). The added bonus is there are certificates for specialty programs like Bartending and Gastronomy.
We have specialized courses for students who want to learn English and French in Montreal: our Bilingual course is available in 24, 26 and 30 classes per week. On this flexible program you can choose to have your core classes in French or English.
As your French skills progress you will take level tests in school to move from one level to the next.
At the end of your course you will get a certificate of completion to prove your English level which may help you in the job market or your university program pathway. Whatever your learning goals, we will be focused on you achieving them.
