Studying for 24 weeks or more gives you time to really improve your English. Learning English abroad provides you with an excellent opportunity to broaden your horizons and immerse yourself in another culture. Please note that the minimum level is Elementary at EC schools where Guaranteed Morning Start Timetable is available.

Free language workshops

Free language workshops take place in an informal setting and give you more opportunities to practice your language skills. Expect interesting lectures, topical conversation sessions and pronunciation practice.

Social Activities

Social activities will take you to some of the most lively and interesting areas of the city you choose to study in. Enjoy everything from city tours, the arts, sports, dining, and nightlife.

Your journey to success with EC

Your journey to better English starts before you even arrive at school! These are your steps to success.

1. Your pre-arrival

From the moment you book, you can access MyEC from home to start your journey, test your starting level and get prepared.

2. Your first day

When you arrive, you will settle into your new home, and meet your teachers, support staff and new classmates.

3. Your first week

During your first week, you will have a meeting to make sure that you are well and happy and help you make the most of your stay.

4. Your classes

Your classes will follow the EC curriculum, designed for you to achieve real results across all English language skills.

5. Your progress

You will take progress assessments to monitor your strengths and weaknesses, to allow you to focus on your learning needs.

6. Your assessments

Following your assessment, you will receive detailed feedback on your performance and guidance on how to continue.

7. Your learning plan

If for any reason your progress is not on track, your teacher will give you a personalised learning plan to get you there.

8. Your support

You will receive continual guidance, monitoring and support, including personal feedback and tutorials after every progress assessment.

9. Your activities

Every week, you will have a variety of free lessons and activities to socialise with your class and fully embrace your free time.

10. Your certificate

At the end of your course you will take your exit test and receive a report confirming your success! Certificates are awarded to all students with 80% or more attendance.

Special Focus Lessons

Take a course of more than 20 lessons per week and you can join one of our Special Focus classes. You can take these classes from 1 week to 8 weeks, so you can mix and match to suit your needs. Special Focus lessons vary across EC schools throughout the year, but there will always be classes to suit your language level and interests. Being able to communicate clearly online is an important part of life. Learn how to write and speak effectively in many online situations.

MyEC

MyEC is our online platform you can use before, during and after your course. MyEC where you take your placement test and complete a pre-arrival survey. You can also start learning English before you leave home, with lots of online learning materials available on the platform. Use MyEC for information about your EC school and location. Take your placement test, access our library of self-study activities, or attend free online classes before you even arrive. Chat to other EC students and staff and find out what’s going on outside the classroom too, so you can plan ahead.
