Arrival procedures

If you have booked accommodation with EC, you must arrive at the airport between 08:00 and 20:00. Late/early arrivals may be asked to book alternative accommodation.

You will meet an EC transportation representative holding an EC Montreal welcome sign after you exit through the glass doors after customs/ immigration. If after 10 minutes you cannot see the EC representative, just call +1 514 947 1030 (from the information desk or a mobile phone). If your flight is missed, delayed, or cancelled, or if there is any other problem, you should notify EC by calling +1 514 947 1030 (from the information desk or a mobile phone) to rearrange your transfer time and avoid additional cost.

Other ways to get to your residence

You can take a taxi or an Uber to the residence. There is also a regular bus (number 747) that stops at Lionel Groulx station and from there you can buy a metro pass to go McGill station and walk to La Marq. However, we do not recommend taking the bus from the airport because it could be complicated to carry all the luggage, as there are no elevators in most metro stations.

FAQs about Montreal accommodations at EC English

Can I keep staying at my student accommodation in Montreal after my EC English course?

The accommodation is only available for the duration of the course. Accommodation is usually booked from Saturday to Saturday.

For my homestay student accommodation in Montreal, how do you assign the host family?

This is based on availability and any special requirements you might have. Please make sure that all your requests are expressed at the time of the booking.

Which type of student accommodation in Montreal should I choose?

Choosing a Montreal accommodation type depends on your lifestyle preferences. If you want to practice your English or French with a local family over homecooked meals, you should consider a homestay with local Vancouver hosts. If you want more independence and connection with other students, a shared student apartment may be the perfect choice.
