Stylishly designed with a spacious double bed for a great night’s sleep, Heyday Carman’s Hall apartments feature rooms fully furnished for quiet study, with generous storage for all your supplies, en-suite bathrooms and showers, a fully equipped kitchen and free broadband. Utilities are included. The building also offers plenty of options for socializing and relaxing, including a communal lounge, meeting room, games room, multimedia room, fitness centre, rooftop lounge and garden. Other amenities include a lift, an onsite concierge, 34/7 CCTV security, laundry facilities and vending machines.

Arrival day: Saturday (Sunday arrival is possible) 
Check-in: Guests can check in at 3pm
Students can leave their bags in the reception area and spend some time exploring Dublin city or relax in the Heyday common area. Students will check-in at the main reception area and be guided by Heyday staff.

House Rules

  • Students must be 18 + to choose this residence 
  • Mixed Gender: Male and female students share common areas and facilities, but bedrooms are single gender. 
  • Students need to sign a Tenancy Agreement. This should be sent out when booking the residence. 
  • A 100 EURO deposit will be taken (paid by card) from the student upon arrival and return on their departure. 
  • Students are given a key on arrival; for which a $25 deposit will be collected by the residence and refunded on return. 
  • No overnight guests 
  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the residence. 
  • Students arriving in EC accommodation between 22.00 – 08.00 may be asked to book alternative accommodation for their first night. This is to ensure students safety on arrival. 
  • While we promote and support diversity, we cannot guarantee language mix. However, we always encourage students to use English to communicate, be respectful and inclusive of others 
  • EC provides a clean living space for all students and expects a basic level of respect from all students. For example, if something is dropped, pick it up; do not leave clothes and belongings on the floor; place rubbish and leftovers in a garbage bag

Cancellations

Cancellation prior to arrival

Students cancelling or postponing 14 days or less prior to their accommodation dates will be charged a two-week accommodation fee at the rate quoted in the price list for the accommodation booked and the accommodation placement fee.  

Cancellation after arrival

Students leaving their accommodation must give notice in writing 4 weeks prior to termination. After deducting the price of accommodation used, including the required notice period, charged at standard accommodation rates, students will be refunded the remaining accommodation costs. If the 4-week notice period is not provided a cancellation fee equal to 4 weeks of the accommodation cost will apply.

FAQs about Dublin accommodations at EC English

Can I keep staying at my student accommodation in Dublin after my EC English course?

The accommodation is only available for the duration of the course. Accommodation is usually booked from Saturday to Saturday. 

For my homestay student accommodation in Dublin, how do you assign the host family?  

This is based on availability and any special requirements you might have. Please make sure that all your requests are expressed at the time of the booking. 

Which type of student accommodation in Dublin should I choose?  

Choosing your Dublin accommodation depends on your lifestyle preferences. If you want to practice your English with a local Irish hosts over homecooked meals, you should consider a homestay. If you want more independence and connection with other students, a student residence may be the perfect choice.
