Your Accommodation

The house has an antique theme to it, and the décor in the common areas will make anyone feel quite nostalgic! There are 15 beds in total, made up of single and shared rooms. Each room has good lighting and a desk for studying. Some of the rooms lead out onto a balcony area where you can have a breath of fresh air or have a view of Table Mountain. Rooms and bed linen are changed weekly.

There are shared bathrooms for students and each room also has a small basin for a quick wash. The house is cleaned twice per week, including all communal areas. Students are responsible for keeping their own space clean and tidy. Cleaning up is especially important after you have used the kitchen for cooking. Upon arrival, the house staff will show students to their rooms, hand over keys, provide the student with the house rules and show students how to get to the EC English school. The easiest way to get to school is by walking, as the accommodation is only 1km away.

FAQS

At EC, can I book my student accommodation in Cape Town with friends?

Yes, if you are studying at EC Cape Town with a friend, you can share a room in select residences or homestays. Contact us to learn more.

If I choose a shared-bedroom for my student accommodation in Cape Town, who will I be sharing with?

You will be sharing your room with another EC student of the same gender. When students are sharing rooms, we try our best to place students together from different countries or languages, although this is not always guaranteed.

For my homestay student accommodation in Cape Town, how do you assign the host family?

This is based on availability and any special requirements you might have. Please make sure that all your requests are expressed at the time of the booking.

Which type of student accommodation in Cape Town should I choose?

Choosing a Cape Town accommodation type depends on your lifestyle preferences. If you want to practice your English with a local family over homecooked meals, you should choose a homestay. If you want more independence and connection with other students, a student residence may be the right choice. If you are looking for privacy, you will want to consider an aparthotel.
