You can also add additional classes (up to 4 per week) and attend free lectures to make the most of your English Now course and your time in the charming city of Cambridge.

Module options include: Basic writing skills, debating and arguing, introduction to essay writing, reading and research, life at university, effective emailing, communication in the workplace, meeting skills, job seeking skills and many more.

Digital portfolio development

Track your progress and showcase your skills to potential universities or employers with an e-portfolio. You’ll create this in MS Teams during your English Now course to keep a record of your writing, speaking, presentations, essays, videos, projects and collaborations.

Personalised learning

Small classes (a maximum of 8 students in each module), make it possible for you to tailor your learning, focus on your goals and take advantage of individualised guidance from your instructors.

Free lectures

In our free lectures (available in week 3 of every module), knowledgeable guest speakers will help expand your knowledge of the world with lecture topics ranging from historical events to marketing yourself on LinkedIn. Join in their question-and-answer sessions after the lecture—and practise your English.

How do I choose between EC’s English for education English Now offerings?

Your choice will depend on your goals, needs and desired intensity level. For example, you may want to focus on our Further Education track and the modules associated with it. You can choose 20 lessons per week (12 General English lessons plus 2 education modules). Or, if you want a more intensive program, you can choose 30 lessons per week (12 General English lessons, plus 2 education modules, plus 10 exam skills lessons). The choice is yours!
