As an Erasmus+ partner, we offer students and educators the opportunity to take General English courses at 2 of our most popular 30+ schools. If you’re a student, you can take classes in Dublin, Ireland’s vibrant capital, with other students from all over the world. If you’re an educator, you can study with like-minded professionals in Dublin or sunny Malta (and take advantage of our Erasmus+ teacher training courses while you’re there). Whatever your goals are, we’ll set you up for success.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of accommodation can I expect on my Erasmus+ English course at EC?

We offer homestay or student residence accommodations. If you choose a homestay, you will live with a family in Dublin or Malta, depending on where you are taking your course. A homestay is a great option if you want an opportunity to practice your English with a local family over homecooked meals. If you’re looking for more independence, you may want to consider a student residence.

Who is eligible to take Erasmus+ English courses at EC?

A range of different groups may apply for an Erasmus grant, including: 

  • Students (with a bachelor, masters or doctorate) 
  • Educational staff of schools, vocational schools, universities and adult education institutions 
  • Apprentices, students of vocational school graduates  up to twelve months after obtaining a diploma 

I want to take an Erasmus English course. How do I know if my country participates? 

The following countries participate in Erasmus programme: The EU (European Union) member states; 

the EFTA (European Free Trade Association) member states: Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein; 

the accession countries, candidate countries and potential candidates: the Republic of North Macedonia, the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Serbia. Countries NOT associated with the programme include: The western Balkans, the southern Mediterranean countries, the Russian Federation, Asia, Central Asia, Middle East, Pacific countries, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Caribbean, United States, Canada, Andorra, Vatican City State, Monaco, San Marino, Faroe Islands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom (some UK exceptions may apply).

So we offer our Erasmus English courses in a variety of formats, for students and teachers alike, at every language level from Beginner to Advanced. If you want a practical understanding of English and basic skills, you can take 20 General English lessons per week. If you want to balance academics and free time, you can take 24 lessons per week. If you want a more rigorous schedule of academics, you can take 26 lessons per week. Or if you want to progress as fast as possible, you can take intensive General English (30 lessons per week).
