Homestay Overview

Your home-away-from-home experience with EC

Your Accommodation

An integral part of students studying abroad is immersion in the local culture, and one of the best ways to do this is by staying in our Homestay accommodation.

All our Homestay providers are either Irish or native English speakers, which will benefit you as you can practise your English outside the classroom. Our homestay providers have all been inspected and vetted. We also know them, and we believe they will provide you with a typical Irish experience to help you feel right at home from the start.

Housing

A homestay in Dublin may consist of an adult couple with or without children or a single adult. The most important factor is the ‘homely atmosphere’. Up to three other students may also be in the homestay, but they will speak a different native language than yours unless specifically requested otherwise.

Room Options

Homestays offer a number of options, including single or shared rooms, half or full board, ensuite or shared bathroom.

Laundry

Bed linen and towels as part of the accommodation. One free laundry wash per week is provided, with additional washing services available at the host’s discretion.

WiFi

Internet access is included.

Arrangement and Transport
